Ingredients:
10-12 big tomatoes (e.g. Costoluto, Pink Boar, Amish Paste) or a mix of small yellow
cherry plum, Bumble Bee & bigger plum tomatoes
3-4 cloves of garlic
1 bunch of basil
3tbsp olive oil
salt and pepper to taste
freshly baked ciabatta bread
mozzarella or parmesan
Directions:
Prepare: Wash and cut tomatoes in half. Remove stem base and place cut side up on a baking tray lines with baking paper.
Garlic!: Peel and slice garlic cloves into thin slices. Add as much garlic as you like. Put at least one slice of garlic on each tomato half.
Time for herbs: Wash the basil and pluck off the leaves roughly. Sprinkle the leaves over the tomatoes.
Dressing: Sprinkle olive oil over tomatoes and add salt and pepper to taste.
Bake: Preheat oven to 380°F (approx. 195°C) and bake until tomatoes are tender (20-30min).
Enjoy: Serve with ciabatta bread, mozzarella or parmesan and homemade pesto.
