WEEK 4: RENEWAL & INTENTION

The quiet before renewal.

As the year comes to a close, we turn inward. This is a week of soft endings and hopeful beginnings — of releasing what has completed its cycle and planting seeds for what we want to invite into our lives next. It’s a time to reflect on the past months, acknowledging our growth and lessons learned, while gently letting go of what no longer serves us. In the tranquility of this moment, we find the space to set our intentions, envisioning a future that aligns with our deepest desires.

Embracing the spirit of renewal, we might take this opportunity to connect with nature, finding inspiration in its cycles of transformation. Just as the Nordic garden rests under a blanket of snow, gathering strength for the vibrant burst of spring, we too can use this time to nurture our dreams and aspirations.

Let us approach this transition with mindfulness and gratitude, trusting that each ending makes way for a new beginning, and every intention we set now is a promise to ourselves for the coming year.

A Living Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge the living landscape that sustains us. Long before gardens, towns, or roads, this land was shaped by glaciers, forests, rivers, and the countless plants and animals that continue to call it home. The soils beneath our feet, the trees that stand above us, and the waters that move through this region are part of a living system that has endured for thousands of years. Our work is guided by respect for these natural systems and a commitment to care for the land so that future generations, human and wild, may continue to thrive here.
