About the event

Step into the quiet abundance of nature and rediscover the healing plants growing all around us. This family-friendly summer evening invites you to slow down, wander, gather, and reconnect with the landscape through the plants that call it home.

Join us for an intimate guided walk through the beautiful grounds of Laura's B&B at the Alexandria Retreat—a peaceful hilltop homestead surrounded by gardens, meadows, fields, and forest. As we explore together, we'll discover the medicinal and edible herbs growing both wild and cultivated, learning to see the landscape through the eyes of an herbalist.

Your hosts for the evening are Laurence, owner of Laura's B&B, and Ines, co-founder of My Nordic Garden.

Laurence will warmly welcome you to her home and share the beauty of her property, creating a relaxed and nourishing atmosphere. During the evening, you'll enjoy a selection of homemade snacks and refreshing drinks prepared with the same care…

A Living Land Acknowledgment

We acknowledge the living landscape that sustains us. Long before gardens, towns, or roads, this land was shaped by glaciers, forests, rivers, and the countless plants and animals that continue to call it home. The soils beneath our feet, the trees that stand above us, and the waters that move through this region are part of a living system that has endured for thousands of years. Our work is guided by respect for these natural systems and a commitment to care for the land so that future generations, human and wild, may continue to thrive here.
